Directory List aids website owners in the submission process to web directories, via providing a substantial list of directories online within the one easy to use location. Directory List has categorized web directories by submission type (free, reciprocal, paid, etc) and by regional location, if applicable. Directory List does not show bias to the type of directories, for example; Search Engine Optimization (SEO) friendly or not. Our aim is to provide a comprehensive list of directories that exist upon the World Wide Web (WWW), not provide SEO solutions.

A brief explanation of each category:

• Bid Per Position - directories in which rank listings purely based upon who has the highest bid within that related category,
• Free - free directories offer purely free submission, without a paid express inclusion service,
• Reciprocal - reciprocal directories are free as such (monetary value), though require a reciprocal link in return for your listing,
• Paid Permanent - these directories offer a one time fee for rapid inclusion, generally ahead of other submission types,
• Paid Annual - annually paid directories are generally a rapid inclusion listing, though require annual ongoing cost to remain listed,
• Niche - niche directories are topical web directories, for example; business, law, real estate, etc. These a categorized topically first, then into free or paid submission, and
• Directories of Directories - are sites similar to directory list, in that they're a directory of web directories.
