• Future of Search Engine Results

  What is the end result for search engine rankings? My theory! Currently the search engine algorithms are based heavily on link based methods. These methods are continuously being manipulated, and regardless how the algorithm evolves or updates, the manipulation will continue. What are the solutions for the search engines? Well, one that comes to mind is the use of directories. I know what you're probably thinking already, been there, done that, webs gone forward, however; let's put a new spin on things shall we.
   
• The Affect of SEO being Listed in Directories

  It has been published for quite some time now that those who desire to increase rankings, should not be isolating their campaigns to a directory only, or significant directory listing campaign. Well, there are advantages and disadvantages of being listed on any site, regardless how good it may seem. It was Search Engine Optimization (SEO) forums themselves that started the directory craze, meaning; directory listings where an easy link to help achieve high rankings within the Search Engine Results Pages (SERP's), hence they told every webmaster to go get lots of directory listings. Google (only) changed their algorithm to help repel the manipulation of their results by devalueing sites that consisted mainly of directory only listings, converting to backlinks.
   
• TrueLocal.com.au Conducting Aggresive Followup

  Truelocal.com.au is a relatively new Australian directory to the space. From immediate rivalry that was cast throughout the web between the Australian TrueLocal and the US TrueLocal, Truelocal.com.au has been nothing short of advertised... and is about to get some more, though in the negative sense. The original debacle between the US owner and the Australian version, personally I have nothing much to say, except the US owners are complaining about a mistake they missed, in that if they wanted to branch out into the Australian space, then they should have registered an Australian business and the domain to match. That is that.
   
• Web Directories Still Provide a Concrete Foundation Within the Web

  From a recent post Aaron Wall made on the viability of directories within the SEO field, I would like to take that to a more inept level of news discussion considering the media directories have obtained of late, due to their future viability.
