BlueFind Directory Returns as a Quality Resource

BlueFind web directory (http://www.bluefind.com), whilst actually not going anywhere, has returned from the Google dead, as a spam free quality directory. Stepping back a couple of years, BlueFind was a PageRank 8, and thus every webmaster wanted in, though the quality of the directory itself suffered, thus negating it into the dark realms of search engine rankings.

The owner of BlueFind, John Scott from the V7N.com network, has this to say from his blog:

No more sponsored listings in BlueFind, and no more web page listings. Web pages may be listed in BlueFind, but no differentiation will be made. A listing in BlueFind is a listing, whether it's a web page, a website (home page) or a subdomain.

What else is changing? A lot. Those of you familiar with BlueFind may notice that the home page has changed today. This is only the second major redesign of BlueFind's home page in the three years or so since BlueFind came to life.

Another difference is the back end used to run the directory. BlueFind is a much better directory now, in my opinion, and my favorite feature is more descriptive URL's. In the past, the URL of the regional directory looked like this: http://www.bluefind.com/dir/56.php

Now it looks like this: http://www.bluefind.com/Top/Regional/

We will be growing the directory by adding authority sites in the relevant categories and making the directory more useful to consumers.

Personally, I think its great to see the older, more established directories cleaning up and moving forward. A very big job for an older, established directory to perform, but a must for future outlook in todays search engine world.

Well done BlueFind, and I highly recommend you to submit your site their now for possible inclusion.
